All that is required when you change your address is that you notify Montana's Motor Vehicle Division within 10 days of moving. You can do this in writing or in person using the Change of Driver's License Address form. You will need to provide your old and new addresses, as well as your license number.

Be aware that your address notification will only be modified on the Motor Vehicle Division's computers. If you prefer to have your new address displayed on your license you must file for a duplicate at any statewide driver exam station. To do this you must bring proof of identity and pay a $10 fee.
